Description

Done for Dragon magazine a lil'while back

Here we see the sage napping in a tall backed chair in and amongst his books. On the floor in front of the sage is one of his mice, reading intently from an open book.

I love your clean shapes and lines, I bet your sketches look great ;)
I think it has some minor problems with the lighting, there is a light source on the left of the image, but the books and the mouse are lighted from the right... maybe that's what you intended, so it's just a minor thingie.
Please don't hate me, i've got one more thing to say ~:0 The wizard looks great, but his right shoulder is badly positioned, it seems to me that it's lower than it should, even regarding his "flowing from the chair" position.
+10 (thumbup)

Thanks for the comment IraMelanox and thx for all the crit, ur right, I wasn't thinking straight or something when I was coloring hehe maybe cuz the image's long and as I was working towards the lower part I forgot about the lighting for the mouse comin from the left :) And ya the shoulder looks misplace, it was meant to be a really skinny long figure for the wiz but i think the robe, etc doesn't really help show it~ the right arm now appears longer then it should....thanks again for ur crit!

Light and shadows, colors and shapes fit well together in this very appealing atmospheric painting.
I love stories in artwork and this definitely has one!
One small crit: to get a sense of depht maybe blur the books in front a bit so the focus on the mouse gets stronger.
Awesome, very underrated work!!+9
